It is a great honour and privilege to be back to the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC), having been a student and a Directing Staff at both the Junior and Senior Divisions. It is quite refreshing to be back after 10years.

Since assuming Command in July 2016, I have observed with great admiration the pioneering work my predecessors have done and the massive transformation at the College in terms of physical infrastructure, IT development, curriculum enrichment and in many other areas.

The role of the College in professional development of selected officers for the assumption of demanding and challenging appointments as Staff Officers or Commanders within the Armed Forces has been carried to a higher pedestal with the recognition of the College as a Tertiary Institution by the National Accreditation Board. I give profound credit to the past Commandants especially the immediate past Commandant AVM IS Kadri for his leadership of transformation, innovation and creative thinking.

In the years ahead, I wish to strengthen and reaffirm GAFCSC’S position as a Center of Excellence for defence and academic pursuit. GAFCSC is committed to excellence in teaching and service. We take pride in being a place where students and faculty can pursue knowledge without boundaries, a place where theory, practice and discipline combine to produce a better understanding of our world and ourselves. As the Commandant of this renowned institution, I am determined to lead it towards its set goals and to ensure achievements that will give it a place amongst the international elite.

I invite you to explore this website which introduces you to some of the coming activities of the College as well as recent developments in the different areas of our work.

Welcome to GAFCSC.
