The final exercise for Junior Staff Course (JSC) 69 code named ‘Exercise OMBUDSMAN 2018’ took place in the College from Mon 21 May to Fri 1 Jun 18.

The exercise which was an Internal Security and Counter Insurgency (IS/COIN) operation drew thirteen (13) other officers from sister security services. The Exercise was the climax of JDC 69.

There were two other categories of participants who took part in the Exercise.
Category 1. This category was made up of Thirteen (13) officers from other security services who joined the regular JSC 69 students for the Exercise. The breakdown was as follows:
(1) Police – 5.
(2) Fire Service – 2.
(3) Immigration – 2.
(4) Prisons – 2.
(5) Narcotics Control Board – 2.
Category 2. Thirteen other supporting staff also joined the Exercise. These included personnel from DPR and clerks from the Armed Forces Clerk’s Training School.
The objective of the Exercise was to test the understanding of the students of JDC 69 in the application of the principles of Internal Security and Counter Insurgency Operations.

The students of JDC 69 are now preparing for their graduation on Friday 14 June 2018.
