Ghana Armed Forces
The history of the Ghana Armed Forces dates back to the pre-colonial era. There were in the then Gold Coast indigenous military organisations before the coming of the Europeans, but these were not standing armies.
Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC)
Working with its partners, the KAIPTC undertakes and delivers research and training programmes that contribute to global peacekeeping operations. Since 2003, our researchers and training facilitators have delivered over 230 courses in diverse aspects of peacekeeping operations for over 11000 individuals and organizations globally.
Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration
GIMPA was established in 1961 as a joint Ghana Government/United Nations Special Fund Project. It was originally called the Institute of Public Administration, established to train public servants with administrative and professional competence to plan and administer national, regional and local services.

Cranfield University is a British postgraduate and research-based university with two campuses.The main campus is at Cranfield, Bedfordshire, and the second is the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom at Shrivenham, Oxfordshire. The main campus is unique in the United Kingdom for having an operational airport (Cranfield Airport) next to it. The airport facilities are used by Cranfield University’s own aircraft in the course of aerospace teaching and research.
