An induction religious service has been held for students of Senior Command and Staff course 43 on Sunday, 17 October 2021, at the Hamidu Hall of the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC). Eighty-Five students comprising officers from Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Liberia, Niger, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and Togo were inducted.

The sermon officiated by the chaplain, Lt Cdr DB Quayson, and the Imam, Maj NA Mohammed, based on the theme “Pressing Forward,” urged the students not to relent on their efforts but to strive for achievement no matter how tough the going became. Brig Gen Augustine Boimah (Rtd), the Guest of Honour for the event, profited from the occasion to encourage students to give their best while guarding against complacency. The ceremony was climaxed with a welcome reception by the Commandant at the Fletcher Mess in honour of students of Senior Staff Course 43.

Additionally, a matriculation ceremony was organised the following day for the students on Monday 18 October 2021 to formally welcome the students to the Master of Science in Defence and International Politics programme at the College. The Guest of Honour for the matriculation ceremony who represented the Rector of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) was Dr Yaw Appiah-Marfo – the coordinator of GAFCSC at GIMPA.
