On Friday 24 June 2022, a graduation ceremony was held for 62 students of the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC) Junior Staff Course 77. Addressing the graduands, the Guest of Honour, Brigadier General Delali Johnson Sakyi (Rtd), admonished the them to endeavour to bring the knowledge they had acquired on the course to bear on their job output in their various countries and units. He urged them to live up to expectation and not to relent on their efforts towards contributing their quota for global peace.
Students of Junior Staff Course 77 reported on 4 February 2022 and commenced lectures on 7 February 2022. The Course comprised 1 student from the Armed Forces of Liberia, another from the Gambian Armed Forces, and ten officers from the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The remaining fifty students were from the Ghana Armed Forces drawn from the Army, Navy, and Air Force. The Assistant Commandant of the Junior Division, Brigadier General Albert Kwadwo Dawohoso, used the opportunity to express gratitude to various Directorates and Departments of the General Headquarters for their support to the Junior Division in all aspects. He added that the courses undertaken would not have been successful without such tremendous assistance. The Commandant of GAFCSC, Rear Admiral Moses Beick-Baffour, presented a memento and a copy of the College’s annual magazine to the Guest of Honour and applauded him for his past contribution towards making GAFCSC a centre of excellence.
Prizes were awarded to deserving students who performed excellently on the course. The overall best student prize went to Major Alfred Darko-Ampem Konadu of the Ghana Army, while Major Rita Oduro also of the Ghana Army, took the second best student prize. Squadron Leader Mary McAddy of the Ghana Air Force was awarded the third best student prize.
