ALLIED STUDENTS OF SCSC 47 TOUR KAKUM NATIONAL PARK
The Allied students of the Senior Command and Staff Course 47 (SCSC 47) of the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC) on Saturday, 27 September 2025, embarked on an educational and recreational tour of the Kakum National Park in the Central Region. The visit formed part of the College’s academic and cultural immersion programme, aimed at broadening the perspectives of Allied students and deepening their appreciation of Ghana’s rich natural and cultural heritage.
The Allied students who were led by faculty members of GAFCSC, toured the Kakum forest reserve, experienced the world-famous canopy walkway and received briefings on biodiversity conservation efforts at Kakum. The students were also taken through the Park’s history and its significance to eco-tourism and sustainable development in Ghana.
The Allied students expressed gratitude to the College for organising the trip, describing it as refreshing and informative. They noted that the experience had reinforced their understanding of Ghana beyond the classroom setting.
Officials of the Kakum National Park commended GAFCSC for continuously including the Park in its programmes, emphasising the importance of civil-military relations and the promotion of Ghana’s tourism potential.
