COMDT GAFCSC EXTENDS WARM WELCOME TO NARC DELEGATION

The Commandant of Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC), Maj Gen Matthew Essien has welcomed a 45-Member delegation from the Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC), who are currently on a one-week world study tour to Ghana on Wednesday 17 April, 2024 at Otu Barracks, Teshie.

The delegation is in Ghana to familiarise themselves with the Socio-Political, Economic and Military Institutions and also foster the spirit of partnership, knowledge exchange between the two esteemed military institutions.

Welcoming the delegation, the Commandant underscored the enduring exchange programs between GAFCSC and military institutions in Nigeria, South Africa, and Rwanda, emphasizing the importance of sharing ideas to foster integration and collaboration among nations.

He added that the main intention for the cross-fertilization of ideas was to create the needed platforms to facilitate smooth integration. 'To this end, it is our collective responsibility to continue to create these opportunities among our respective countries, to enable senior and middle-level officers and also members of academia to share ideas as well as to contribute their quota on global trends, threats and demands'. He advised.

The Commandant urged the participants to explore the intricate relationship between military leadership strategy and state cohesion, highlighting the profound impact that effective leadership could have on the unity and resilience of a nation.
