GAFCCEH INTERACTS WITH STUDENTS OF SCSC 45

The Ghana Armed Forces Critical Care and Emergency Hospital (GAFCCEH) held an interactive forum with students of Senior Command and Staff Course (SCSC) 45 at the Hamidu Hall in Teshie on Monday, 12 August 2024. The engagement aimed to update the students on the hospital's progress towards operationalization and highlight outstanding issues and future projections.

 

The GAFCCEH Administrative Officer Lieutenant Colonel Richard Okyere Mintah, in a presentation revealed that the hospital was established by the United Nations (UN) as a UN COVID-19 Field Hospital (UNCF) pursuant with a Memorandum  of Understanding signed in September 2020 and handed over to the Ghanaian government in February 2023.

 

 

He again highlighted the hospital's vision, mission, organizational structure, and operationalization roadmap, as well as developments in the surgical unit, theater, and ongoing projects, including the enhancement of the dialysis waiting room by Ghana Commercial Bank.

 

 

He discussed some outstanding issues including the expansion of the dialysis unit, bus shuttle system, and accommodation.
