The Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC) has expressed profound appreciation to various corporate organisations for their invaluable support and contributions towards the successful celebration of the College's 50th Anniversary.
The appreciation visits, undertaken on Thursday, 17 September 2026, provided an opportunity for the College to formally acknowledge the organisations for their support and partnership, which contributed significantly to making the historic Golden Jubilee celebration a memorable one.
On behalf of the Commandant of the College, Major General (Maj Gen) Jackson Wonje, the Director of Corporate Affairs (DCA), Colonel (Col) Bernard Baah-Acheamfour, presented letters of appreciation, plaques, copies of The Flame Magazine and the African Journal, as well as souvenirs from the 50th Anniversary celebration to the management of Irani Brothers & Others Ltd, National Lottery Authority (NLA) and National Petroleum Authority (NPA).
During the presentations, Col Baah-Acheamfour expressed the Commandant's and the College fraternity's profound gratitude to the management of the three organisations for their generous contributions towards activities marking the College's Golden Jubilee.
He noted that the anniversary commemorated 50 years of professional military education, leadership development and service to Ghana, the African continent and the international community.
The DCA acknowledged the important role played by the organisations in supporting the anniversary initiative, stressing that such partnerships contributed to the successful execution of the celebrations and complemented efforts towards national development.
Col Baah-Acheamfour further stated that the College remained committed to sustaining and strengthening its relationship with corporate organisations and other stakeholders as it continued to fulfil its mandate of developing competent, professionally grounded and ethically conscious leaders capable of contributing to national, regional and international peace and security.
At Irani Brothers & Others Ltd, the General Manager, Mr Reginald Sackey-Addo, together with the Chief Financial Officer, Mrs Mireille A. Zeidan Nasser, received the delegation and the token of appreciation on behalf of the company.
Mr Sackey-Addo expressed gratitude to the Commandant and the College for recognising the company's support and commitment to the 50th Anniversary celebrations. He reaffirmed the company's willingness to continue supporting GAFCSC as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
At the National Lottery Authority, the Director-General, Mr Alhaji Mohammed Abdul-Salam, received the token of appreciation on behalf of the Authority and expressed gratitude to the Commandant and the College for acknowledging its contribution towards the Golden Jubilee celebrations.
Similarly, at the National Petroleum Authority, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr Godwin Edudzi Kudzo Tameklo (Esq.), received the delegation and the token of appreciation. He expressed his appreciation to the Commandant and the College for the gesture and official recognition of the Authority's support.
The appreciation visits formed part of the College's efforts to recognise and strengthen its partnerships with organisations whose support contributed to the successful commemoration of its 50th Anniversary.
The visits ended with photographs with the management and representatives of the respective organisations.
