GAFCSC HOLDS INDUCTION RELIGIOUS PARADE

The Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC) has held its induction religious parade for Senior Command and Staff Course 46 at Hamidu Hall on Sunday, 6th October 2024, Teshie.

During his sermon on “Enhancing Professionalism through Knowledge Acquisition,” Colonel Peter Nyarko Duodu encouraged participants to pursue knowledge diligently to bolster their professionalism.

He emphasized that acquiring knowledge requires adherence to the institution’s standards and ethics, as professionalism establishes trust and credibility. He added that professionalism also leads to personal satisfaction, and self-respect, which boosts self-esteem.

In his address, the Guest of Honor for the ceremony Rear Admiral Peter Faido (Rtd) expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Commandant of the College, Major General Matthew Essien, and the staff for their hospitality. He emphasized that military professionalism extends beyond merely wearing the uniform; it encompasses upholding the highest standards of integrity, respect, discipline, and leadership.

He stressed that knowledge is not merely an asset but a necessity, and without ongoing learning, one risks falling behind. Rear Admiral Peter (Rtd) urged participants to take the course seriously, reminding them that the nation’s defense lies with them. He added that the knowledge they acquire will strengthen their capacity to make informed decisions and demonstrate sound judgment and strategic foresight.
