
GAFCSC SENIOR COMMAND AND STAFF COURSE 45 REGIMENTAL DINNER HELD
The Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC) Course 45 has held a dinner night on Friday, 17 August 2024 at Teshie, Accra. The regimental dinner was in honour of the Senior Command and Staff Graduating Course 45.
The Guest of Honour for the occasion Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Peter Augustine Blay(Rtd) in his speech expressed his deep appreciation to the Commandant of the College, Major General Matthew Essien for the honour of inviting him and took the opportunity to congratulate all students and award winners.
Lt Gen Blay expressed his delight for being invited as the Guest of Honour noting that, it had been 11 years since he retired from the Service, and felt privileged to be recognized.
He encouraged the students to take pride in being products of GAFCSC which he described as a place of opportunity, peace and inspiration that fosters self-discovery and propels individuals towards new horizons. He highlighted the importance of research as the cornerstone of the Ghana Armed Forces professional knowledge, emphasizing that it sharpens wisdom and positively influences one’s environment.
He eulogized GAFCSC for its long-standing reputation as a Centre of Excellence, national pride and honour. He was particularly impressed by the College’s recent development including the introduction of the PhD programme in Defence and International Politics, sets to begin in September 2024
