GTEC ASSESSES GAFCSC FOR NATIONAL DEFENSE UNIVERSITY CHARTER

The Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) visited the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC) on Monday, May 20, 2024 at Teshie.

The visit, led by Professor Ahmed Jinapor Abdulai, Chairman of the Commission, comes in response to GAFCSC's charter institutional application to become a fully-fledged university.

Professor Abdulai said the rationale for the visit was an initiative to evaluate all military colleges for the establishment of a National Defense University.

The delegation conducted a comprehensive review of the college’s academic programmes , facilities, and administrative procedures. They interacted with faculty members and inspected infrastructure to ensure compliance with both national and international standards.
