GTEC HOLDS CONFERENCE WITH GAFCSC

A three-member delegation from the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC), led by Dr Osei Kuffour held a conference with the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC) on Wednesday, 11 September 2024, at Teshie.

 

The Conference was aimed to evaluate the readiness of the GAFCSC Junior Division for the accreditation of a Post Graduate Diploma in Military Science, Security and Defence. The programme is aimed at enhancing the academic and professional capabilities of military officers and other security sector professionals.

 

 

The Dean of the College, Dr Vladimir Antwi Danso said the programme is designed to equip both military officers and civilians at the junior and middle - level management with the necessary skills in command and leadership roles. He added that admission to the programme is not limited to only military officers but also to personnel of sister security services and individuals in the security sector.

 

 

Dr Osei Kuffour commended  GAFCSC  for its  remarkable work as a Centre of Excellence for training future commanders and leaders in defence and international politics. He stated  that, with the introduction of this post graduate diploma, GAFCSC will contribute to the professional development of Ghana's security landscape.
