MAJ GEN ONWONA BIDS FAREWELL TO STAFF AND STUDENTS OF GAFCSC

Maj Gen Bismarck Kwesi Onwona has bid farewell to staff and students of GAFCSC in a brief ceremony held at the Hamidu Hall on 30 January 2024. This signified the end of his tenure as the Commandant of the College.

In his farewell address, Maj Gen Onwona officially announced his new appointment as Chief of the Army Staff and indicated that an official handing and taking over ceremony would be held when a new Commandant is appointed to oversee the affairs of the College.

 

He highlighted his achievements during his tenure, which included technological advancements and infrastructure development. He mentioned ICT projects, projector installations, facility renovations, and the procurement of customized laptops to help solve some administrative challenges. Additionally, he emphasized the ongoing transformation of the college library to foster a conducive learning environment.

 

Maj Gen Onwona expressed his confidence in the future success of GAFCSC and urged everyone to remain committed to the College's mission.

 

 

Immediately after the farewell address, Maj Gen Onwona cut sod for the construction of a modern entrance, as part of his vision to enhance the College's appearance.
