SCSC 46 ENDS EXERCISE NKABOM
The Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC) has ended Exercise NKABOM, the major and final exercise of Senior Command and Staff Course(SCSC) 46. The six-day operational-level exercise commenced on Friday, 25 July 2025, and ended on Thursday, 31 July 2025, at Otu Barracks, Teshie.
Themed “Restoration of Peace in the Republic of Naringa,” the exercise aimed to assess the student officers' ability to plan and execute a Joint All-Domain Hybrid Multinational Campaign within the framework of a peace support intervention operation.
Exercise NKABOM was structured into four main phases: Shaping and Deployment, Intervention, Stabilization, and Withdrawal. Each phase provided participants with the opportunity to simulate real-life operational scenarios in a complex, multidimensional environment. Notably, during the Intervention Phase, a media engagement was held to evaluate how students could manage press engagements in crisis situations.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, the Acting Commandant of GAFCSC, Brigadier General Jackson Wonje, expressed appreciation to the Chief Instructors, Directing Staff and external controllers for their dedication throughout the exercise. He commended the students for their commitment and professionalism, urging them to apply the knowledge and skills acquired as they advance in their military careers.
