Graduate Admissions

The college offers graduate academic programmes including the Master of Science in Defence and International Politics (MDIP). Admissions are designed for applicants with suitable academic preparation and demonstrated interest in peace, security, and related professional fields.

Entry Requirements

  • A good bachelor’s degree at second class lower or better, or an equivalent professional qualification from a recognised body.
  • A minimum of two years working experience in a peace and security-related organisation.
  • In exceptional cases, applicants with other academic profiles but substantial relevant experience may be considered.
  • A written statement of career objectives in relation to the programme.

Programme Structure

The programme may be delivered through regular and weekend streams. The regular stream is intended for Senior Division students of the Ghana Armed Forces, friendly armed forces, and some sister security agencies. The weekend stream is designed for qualified applicants whose work schedules require greater flexibility.

A full academic year is divided into two semesters, with coursework, assessments, and written submissions forming part of student evaluation.
