The Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC), established in 1963, is an accredited institution by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC). Located at Otu Barracks, Teshie, adjacent to the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre, GAFCSC specializes in military and security training, offering graduate programs in collaboration with the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
GAFCSC offers two flagship Master's Degree programs:
Master of Science in Defence and International Politics (MDIP)
Master of Science in Security Studies (MSS)
These programs prepare professionals for roles in defense, security, and international relations, drawing on a diverse student body from various military and civilian backgrounds.
PhD in Defence and International Politics (PhDDIP): This four-year program focuses on developing analytical skills in national and international security, with a strong emphasis on original research.
Master's Programs:A Bachelor's Degree (second class lower or better) and a statement of career objectives. Applicants with relevant experience are encouraged.
PhD Program: A Master's Degree in a relevant field and a research proposal of at least 1,500 words.
