Wg Cdr Bernard Doe Aryee was born on 26 July 1976 in Accra. He attended Wajir Barracks Primary School from 1984 to 1989 for his primary education. He then attended Wajir Barracks Junior Secondary School from 1989 to 1992 where he obtained his Basic Education Certificate.

He subsequently had his Secondary Education at Nungua Secondary School from 1992 to 1995 to obtain his Senior Secondary School Certificate. From 1997 to 2001, he attended University of Ghana where he had his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.

Upon completion of his First degree in University of Ghana, he was commissioned into the Ghana Air Force on 5 September 2003. Later on 31 December 2014, he was admitted to the degree of Master of Arts in International Affairs from the Legon Center for International Affairs and Diplomacy, University of Ghana.

Wg Cdr BD Aryee has attended several courses and held some appointments. Notable among them are:

• a. Ab initio pilot training where he obtained his Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) from October 2004 to Jun 2005.
• b. Junior Staff Course at the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College Teshie from January to June 2012.
• c. Senior Staff Course at the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College Teshie from September 2013 to August 2014.
