A four-member delegation from the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC), led by the Deputy Commandant, Brigadier General(Brig Gen) GKT Sam, has paid a courtesy visit to TV3 at Adesa We, Kanda, on Tuesday 16 June 2026, to create public awareness of activities lined up for the College's Golden Jubilee celebrations. The delegation included the Chief Instructor Navy, Captain (Ghana Navy), Capt (GN) Tenzii, the Chief Instructor Air Faculty, Group Captain(Grp Capt) Alifo, and the Public Relations Officer of the College, Lieutenant Colonel(Lt Col) Affanyi. The media engagement formed part of efforts to sensitise the public and stakeholders on the significance of the College's 50-year journey in professional military education.
During the television discussion, Brig Gen Sam disclosed that the theme for the Golden Jubilee celebration is "Celebrating 50 Years of Excellence in Professional Military Education." He explained that the theme reflects the College's distinguished record of developing competent military leaders and strategic thinkers over the past five decades. He added that it also highlights GAFCSC's unwavering commitment to excellence, professionalism, and leadership development within Ghana and across the international community.

The Deputy Commandant further outlined the series of activities lined up to commemorate the milestone. These include the official launch of the anniversary celebrations, a public lecture, a luncheon with past commandants and international alumni, a health walk, corporate social responsibility activities, and a thanksgiving service and religious parade. He noted that the activities are intended not only to celebrate the College's achievements but also to engage stakeholders and honour individuals whose dedication and contributions have shaped the institution's success.

The Chief Instructor Naval Faculty, Capt (GN) Tenzii, highlighted the role of the College in preparing naval officers to address emerging maritime security challenges, while the Chief Instructor Air Faculty, Grp Capt Alifo, spoke on the importance of air power in contemporary security operations and the development of future military leaders. On her part, the Deputy Director Corporate Affairs (DDCA), Lt Col Affanyi, encouraged the public to support and take part in the Jubilee celebrations as the college marks five decades of excellence in professional military education. The delegation reaffirmed GAFCSC's commitment to producing leaders who will continue to promote peace, security, and development in Ghana and beyond, while showcasing the College's enduring contribution to professional military education.
