As part of the 50th Anniversary celebration of the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College), women officers of the Ghana Armed Forces have appeared on GTV for a media engagement on Wednesday, 17th June 2026. The spokespersons for the interview were Captain (GN) Ruby Elikem Amegavulie, Lieutenant Colonel Jacqueline Delali Galley, Commanding Officer of the Ghana Military Police, and Group Captain Joana Abdulai. The engagement formed part of efforts to create public awareness about the College's Golden Jubilee celebrations and its contributions to military education and leadership development.
Captain (GN) Ruby Elikem Amegavulie indicated that the celebration is being held under the theme "Celebrating 50 Years of Excellence in Professional Military Education." She explained that over the years, the College has evolved into a premier institution for professional military education, developing officers with the requisite strategic thinking, leadership capacity and competence for joint and multinational operations in an increasingly complex security environment.

Lieutenant Colonel Jacqueline Delali Galley outlined the series of activities scheduled for the anniversary celebrations, noting that the programme spans from April to August 2026. She mentioned that key events include public sensitisation and media engagements running from 30 April to 29 June, an official launch ceremony on 30 June, and a Republic Day Lecture on 1 July. She added that there will also be a lunch engagement with past Commandants, international alumni and special guests on 2 July, aimed at strengthening professional bonds and institutional collaboration.

Group Captain Joana Abdulai further highlighted that other activities include a health walk and fun games on 12 August, the 50th Anniversary Graduation Dinner on 14 August, and a Thanksgiving Service on 16 August. She noted that the celebrations will climax with the 50th Anniversary Graduation Ceremony on 21 August 2026. The officers concluded by urging the general public, stakeholders, and all partners to support and join in the celebration of the College's Golden Jubilee, including participation in the Ghana Process Monitoring Self-Care Facilitators' 50th Anniversary activities, as part of efforts to make the milestone inclusive and memorable.
