GAFCSC HOLDS GRADUATION CEREMONY FOR JSC 84
The Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC) has held a graduation ceremony for Junior Staff Course (JSC) 84 on Thursday 18 December 2025 at Hamidu hall, Teshie.
The graduating cohort comprised 62 Ghanaian officer students and 15 allied students from sister African countries, who went through 19 weeks of intensive academic and military training.

The Guest of Honour for the ceremony, Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Cosmos Bretu Alhassan (Rtd) in his address, commended the College for its continued efforts in grooming strategic leaders for both national and regional security roles. In his address, he reflected on the College’s legacy of excellence and transformation, noting its impact on the careers of many officers across the continent.
He congratulated the students for their hard work, discipline, and cooperation during the course, and urged them to apply the knowledge and leadership skills acquired in their future roles.
Brig Gen Alhassan cautioned the graduates against complacency, emphasizing the importance of continuous learning and professionalism in today’s evolving security environment. He reminded them that the College has a proud tradition of producing future leaders and charged them to uphold its high standards and contribute meaningfully to their respective services and nations.


On his part, The Acting Commandant (A/Cmdt) of the College, Brig Gen Jackson Wonje congratulated the graduands for their resilience and performance through out the course. He encouraged them to serve as ambassadors of excellence and continue to demonstrate professionalism, leadership and commitment in all assignments both locally and internationally. The A/Cmdt presented a plague to the guest of honor for honoring their invitation.

Students were awarded postgraduate Diploma Certificates, as Captain Daniel Boadu Opoku was adjudged the Overall Best Student, while Squadron Leader Getrude Sefakor Alorvor received the award for Best Assistant Commandant’s Newspaper and Captain Clement Ada of the Nigerian Army was also honoured as the Best Allied Student.
